Food Assistance

Apply: Food Assistance for Disabled People in the South. Due to the government shutdown, people across our region will not receive their payment from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) for the month of November. Losing SNAP will make it more difficult for many people to buy food for themselves and their families. New Disabled South is offering one-time payments to help people impacted by not receiving SNAP. Funding is first-come, first-served. We will give $100 to individuals and $250 to households with two or more people. If you receive SSI or Medicaid as well as SNAP and need assistance, please follow the link below and read our disclaimer before applying. Apply at NDSDJ.org/SNAPhelp.
